Thank you for your kind words, AmMused. As for Madonna, how can
anyone take her seriously?  She's does everything she can for years to cultivate the persona of an attention-glutted wanton libertine, then, after trying parenting, she's actually trying to cash in on her 170+ IQ?  Wait.  IQ?  The Kaballah?  Something's wrong in that equation... No, she's not even incredible anymore (if anyone ever actually thought she was)...

I don't know... Does anyone actually take her seriously? Except for a few depraved fans, that is?   I enjoyed your writing.  Your wit ... priceless.  AmMused

I think Whoopi's a good actress as well, neslo, and I mentioned it. But I
think she's far too left leaning in her politics and she's an abject apologist for assholes like Michael Vick.  She say he's a product of his culture, so it's okay -- you must understand.  No, what I must understand is that he knowingly committed crimes, regardless of his damned culture.  There is cockfighting and moonshining in the poor Appalachain culture wherein I grew up, but I have yet to see a still, buy moonshine, or attend a cockfight.  We may be products of our culture, but if it is illegal, it is best to rise above your cultural proclivities...

i agree with the list except maybe for Whoopi. I think she's a good actress. At least she didn't turn out to be sleazy. madonna? i can't imagine her being religious because the image of her wearing the pointed bra just couldn't be erased. haha.

Even more than Britney or Lindsay? How about Ann Coulter and
Sean Hannity.  And Tucker Carlson.  And Harry Reid.  And Tancredo.  And Whoopi Goldberg (although she did do a great job in The Color Purple and Ghost).  And Rosie O'Donnell (I think she's funny -- at times, but she's way too far left).  There are scores others that, beleive me, the world wouldn't miss, except as someone to read about in the tabloids.  Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell (oh, wait, he's already dead -- nevermind).  George W. Bush.  Rick Santorum.  That Dobson idiot.  Jesse Jackson.  Al Sharpton.  Hmmmm.  And the queen of them all -- Paris Hilton...

She's just a completely inconsequential waste of space...

That, I beleive, is the biggest problem most have with her dalliance, whoru
the fact that she's a woman practicing Kaballah.  However, where she's a cheap pop icon with limited longevity, the Beatles may not have been more famous than god, but they still have sales power.

She's definitely cheap, richinstore...

Madonna
Madonna is doing with Kaballah as the Beatles did with transcendental meditation. As we remember, the Beatles made a remark about religion and that ended a rock empire. Madonna is messing with something much greater in knowledge and I don't think she has the brain power or the spirituality. Kaballahism was never meant for woman"s participation & the Rabbi should know that!

that's cheap publicity.

It is interesting that these celebrities latch onto some very eclectic
belief systems.  Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Donna Karan, Rosie O'Donnell, all follow the Kaballah's teachings.  Then there's the Scientologists...
