Oh, I'm sure, Rumored. Losing to Appy St., then watching the Oregon
game unravel before their eyes.  I'm sure demoralization set in.  It's sad.  But, hey, they still have a ton of games left to salvage the season.  It ain't over and they could still contend for a major bowl.  They just have to get it done.  Now, Notre Dame is in trouble...

Saul, I wasn't really surprised Oregon won, but to win like they did
It could be a long season for Michigan if they don't get their heads into the games (well, their whole bodies would help too..its hard to tackle someone by the sleeve)..Saturday after they got so far behind they just quit trying....

I always thought Wannstedt was a pretty good coach, M. At the same time,
I hate Pitt and am encouraged by your assessment.  Still, those damned rivalries are generally toss-ups...

Very slim to none.

Pitt's too young ... and, quite frankly, I'm not convinced Wannstedt is much of a coach.

He's a decent recruiter, at least.

You ARE a football expert, M. What do you think about Pitt's chances of
upsetting WVU this year (you know how those two teams are)?

I think South Florida is the third best team in the Big East, actually (ahead of Rutgers).

Of course, Auburn seems to have at least one "silly" sort of loss every year, though.

Oh, and I know that it's a bit of "rebuilding" year in South Bend, but you still have to wonder if/when the fans might begin to turn on Charlie Weis.

Meanwhile, that "hot seat" Lloyd Carr was sitting on, has pretty much morphed into an electric chair.

"Football expert."
