Thank you, Sunny - I've paid the extra blogging fee; not sure if I can get

a refund. I agree about Photobucket; I wish I would have asked bloggers what was the best way instead of upgrading my account. Live and learn, I hope, lol..

Thanks again, friend.

I argree with what everyone has said.  I haven't had any problems with photobucket...and being that it appears you have to start over anyway, why pay the extra fee, when you can avoid all the hassle?

If you haven't started yet, you will see that it's really easy to upload from your computer to photo bucket.  It will take you very little time, at least if you have a good connection, that is.  Good luck with this.  Sorry your pics have been disappearing.

I finally got a response in the c. blog
Looks like my name change did cause the problem - you were right; first Ted, then Whacky!...:)

I wonder if you can "downgrade" your account and just use Photobucket? I use the free version of Villagephotos and it's always worked fine for me.

Photobucket seems to be an effective route...good luck!

Trust me.......
I but the best package here on Blogit for the larger photo storage..........filled it up in less than a month....you have to delete to post new photos and that destroys the blogs you already have........

I now have hundreds of photos on Photobucket....and the base version is free....you can even make slide shows and store videos to embed here......and you can make subfolders to categorize your shots.......

I would use Photobucket and forget the one on Blogit that isn't working
for you...it sounds like there's an issue there and it's obvioulsy not dependable!

I use Photobucket even though I could just rely on Blogit image hosting.

I'm surprised too, Food...is nobody minding the store??..:)

I think you're right about the glitching. I find it strange though (maybe it's just me, lol) that the pictures I've downloaded from my folder/file/whatever remain viewable. And I'm still able to add them to posts; just did one a little bit ago in a poem. But after a few days, they vanish.

Thanks for responding.

Erato2...
I'm surprised you've received no response from blogit, they have always helped me in the past.  Since I use photobucket, I can't be of much help, but I can't help but think they work basically the same.  Either the photo or the url must be glitching.  You might have to get some anti-glitch cream, sold at finer stores everywhere!

Thank you both for the input!

This is from the Help section - Blogit has picture hosting, available

by upgrading - paying more, lol. Which I did..

"You may also use the picture hosting capabilities on the Blogit site. You may include up to 50 pictures and 3 member pictures with your Blogit Silver subscription, and up to 100 pictures with your Blogit Gold subscription."

I considered that as a possibilty, Whacky
But when I click on a picture from my list, the url has "Erato2" in the address.

They are my own, TAPS
And I was under the impression that by upgrading to Blogit Silver, using an image hosting site wasn't necessary.

Erato2
Do you use an image hosting and photo sharing site such as Photobucket?  Are the photos your own that you have taken or do they come from the internet?   If they are internet pictures, do you run them through your image hosting site first?  Copied internet pictures will not necessarily stay with your posts, especially if you just copy and paste.
