Blacksnow, Blacksnow, here we go go:

GERMANY

Manger - as in dog in the
Mange - as in some bloggers are afflicted by it, others aren't
Yearn - as in when you are confused, you yearn for someone to explain
Name - as in what a lovely new name you've got, Durbs, a beautiful oxymoron with hints at the haikus you often lay before us
Year - as in some people come out with the same old gripes year after year
Gran - as in my granny who I never confused with a granary
Yarm - a place near Middlesborough which is very pretty, not to be confused with my yard, which is not
Anger - as in some people don't half get a bee in their bonnet about ridiculous things

more from my dictionary --

1. gena - cheek of animals/Zoological word

2. mage - magician (Archaic)

3. mang - for "among" in Scottish

4. mangy  - shabby; could be caused by the disease MANGE, LOL!

even if shorter than 25 minimum I usually aim for.

HERE'S MY LIST: (Tony U are no MEANY; Germany also spells MANGER and Mary (Praise!)

01-10: germ, many, German, Germany, mean, manger, year, yearn, anger, mange

11-20: earn, gram, gran, gear, geary, aery, reamy, mane, game, gamey (chicken)

21-30: rame, ream, name, namer, gamer, near, nary, gray, grey, ear-Y

xx-yy: rage, army, mare, agey, graney, mega- (to replace any above that are unacceptable)

Blacksnow

I looked up your flower and see that it is native to South Africa.  The biggest protea is called King Sugar Bush.
