In our kung fu school...the dummy dosen't wear any padding other than a protective cup. :) If you wear all that padding it throughs off how a technique is actually done because our art requires you to be in contact with your opponent. :) Those big suits can be pretty scary looking though. :)

Misuse of power creates it's own destruction.
When someone uses their position of power to dominate and intimidate others the respect they are trying so hard to gain is only eroded further. The time will come when he will need the respect he is losing, and it will not be there for him. Sorry consolation to one who limps home from the quan, but something to remember when the desire to strike back is firing the blood. Everything in it's proper time. Do not allow him to push you faster towards your ultimate goal, it will be sweeter for the wait...

When I attended my first self-defense class, and saw the "dummy" come waddling in, wearing that huge padded suit with the giant head ...
I actually started crying and then ran out screaming (because I thought he was a monster).
Of course, in my defense, I was only, like, 16 at the time.
If anyone ever says they hate violence more than I do,
they better have a knife, that's all I'm saying.
