A very cearly defined and a thought-provoking destinction of tolerance and acceptance. Tolerance is, to me, is, "I do not bother with that nuisance, just let it". But acceptance is definitely of the higher kind that is ready to delve and try and understand, in other words, willing to give an ear to what others have to say. Tolerant people, though a good trait, never go beyond. Accepters do.

I am thinking it means accepting people for what they choose to align with. If they turn out decent.... then it can't be that bad/different.
