I hope things work out for you as this is just so sad and unfair.

Imagine that. The baby's father emailed me last night.

Claiming a check is in the mail. Very interesting. After he told my father he wasn't going to give me a cent.

He's like that. He has to look good.

Guess that proves he's still reading my blogs.

grrr

If I were a man....
My dear Miaella,

Your post really touched me. I highly appreciate and respect you for your strength and for loving the baby, despite the irresponsible behavior of the father. I also read the many comments of our blogit friends. My! how caring and loving they could get. Especially Foliagegold who really took time to see you personally. Yes, it's true, God do sends angels through our compassionate friends to cheer us.

Praying that God will nurture you and give you the gift of a wonderful and healthy baby. I am excited to see his/her pictures posted here at blogit. Update us, dear!

MiaElla - Do the two of you still talk at all? Do you have such a service
where you are that works like a public legal aid?  Perhaps if so, you could discuss the situation with a lawyer and get some advice?  I cannot believe he does not offer you some kind of assistance, that is neglecting his child for certain.  And I hope your gut feeling is wrong, but do keep it in mind.  I shall say some prayers for you now.

Holy_Grail

He already has a child with another woman he isn't married to. He took her to court for years and fought her for their daughter. He ended up gettign the girl during the summer and holiday break.

On the bright side my family got him to pay for two of my doctors appt. but only because he illegally signed me up for medicaid and messed up my paperwork!

Do you think there's any chance that he might see the light one day and wake up and realize that he has a CHILD, and step up to the plate??

It is sad to hear this. I don't know how or what you felt for this man (boy) but in my book he is scum! It is all fun and games as long as it does not come with any responsibility.

I think the child's father is a cruel person and has no heart .
I would never let the mother of my child be helpless anywhere in this world .I however agree with strat on the point of seeking legal assitance . It's really painful . Take Care ! God bless you !

Also, if you can do it, talk to a lawyer.
You know, pre-emptive defensive first strike and all that. You don't want to be caught at unawares if this jackass does try to pull something hinky on you.

I know in SC there are organizations like Ask-A-Lawyer that will give free legal advice. They'll also give referrals, but something like that couldn't hurt to check into.

Good luck!

That is sad, indeed...your primary concern is the child's, but it sounds

like he's only thinking of himself.

Have you tried temp agencies?  Maybe they can help.
