Hi there - thank you, and I'm glad to see you stuck it out and made to the ending!

Re: MaggieMae

Wow, MaggieMae...your comment brought me to tears, as well.  You have the flip side, upside outcome to adoption, if that makes any sense at all.  I've always known I have a half brother, 3 years older than me, who stayed with my birth mother.  I haven't (yet) had the fortune of meeting him, or any of my blood relatives.  I did not know you and Offy were sisters - how cool!  Your reunion touches my heart just the same as my family situation touched yours!!  I would love to hear more!

Thank you so much for sharing such a candid, personal experience with me and for your confirmation that I have written a story worth reading.

Dear Betty..........

What a beautiful and touching story!  It brought me to tears.

I, too, was adopted but it wasn't pretty like your's.  I didn't have parents who loved and guided me as you described your's.  I think the little Angel sent to  your family really was sent to mend your mother's broken heart.  Your story touched me right to my heart.

I saw Offy's comment below.  Offy and I are biological sisters.  Did you know that.  We were adopted by different families, but we found each other in our adult life and have done many things together and know that we love one another and always will.

Everybody should read this story.  I hope they do.  Thank you for sharing it with us.

Too long narrative for sleepy slaves, Betty. Enjoyed it though!

Pecanflower - thank you so much, glad you enjoyed.  I can't wait to tell my little sister, "Angela," what an amazing response her story has received

Re: Offy is right, this is a beautiful story

Offy - thank you so much for such a huge compliment!  As a fellow, happy, adoptee, you share a deep knowing that is sacred to only those of us who have had such a beautiful gift of life!  Cheers to our wonderful parents!

Julia - thank you for your confirmation and meaningful words!  And, yes....Angela means Angel and was the name my mom specifically chose for her.

Offy is right, this is a beautiful story
and so well told! You were exceptionally spiritually wise beyond your 8 years, to have come to that realization. I wonder, was the name Angela chosen with the thought of her being an "Angel" sent from God?

This is one of the best posts I have ever read. What a heart warming story of miracles and love.

PS..I was adopted too at the age of 6. My parents said the same thing as yours..We were special, we were chosen.
