Sorry for your loss and your sadness with the world.
Another way to think of it is that your lost, loved ones live in your life and loves, because you carry them in your heart.

Re: Damond

Hello!  Thanks for visiting my blog and sharing your empathetic thoughts.  I believe we do share similar pain and in some strange way, I believe, fortune.  I just posted a story on my other blog, "God, why did you take my mother's miracle?"  You might enjoy and/or relate to it!  Hope to see you back again and I look forward to visiting your work, as well.

Make today a good one.

Depending on how one lives ones life

Depending on how one lives ones life a person that has gone on can be better off or the one still here might be the one better off.  I love your thoughts in this piece, and I think I know exactly where you are coming from with it.

Three of my siblings were gone long before I was ever born, and two died the same year that I was born.  Those two died in Jan. before I was born in Apr.  One was 16 mos., and the other was 17 years.  Since then I have lost two brothers; one had cancer and died when he was 46 years old.  He was closest to me in age; I was 43 at the time, and of course we grew up together and were really close.  That is really why I think I understand how you feel.

Another brother died from a chainsaw accident when he was 73 years old.  At least I still have four sisters and three brothers.  I come from a very large family.  I guess that helped some with the grieving process.

Thanks for sharing!

Re: Very touching...
True, I've had my share of random disappointments and unwarranted circumstance - but, oddly enough and through it all, I've learned some of the most valuable lessons in life!  I am grateful for this journey and wouldn't trade my life for anything in the world:)  Take care, Sheilah

Re: Mademoiselle

Hi Mademoiselle,

At the time I wrote this poem, I was a young teen.  I'd lost my oldest sister and 3 month old neice to a drunk driver.  However, since then, I also lost my only brother to a bullet, and since about the age of 8 have lost a newborn brother, as well as a nephew & another niece.  So, in retrospect it applies to many young loved ones who've passed before me.  Thanks for reading and for the inquiry!  Make today a good one.

Who are you talking to?

Someone in particular? Or just in general?
