Yes, that's true, I have. I just wanted to enjoy my life. Preferably not by leaving the marriage but I have wanted to, many times. That's one of the signs. We should have moved back years ago, and it might not have been as bad, but we didn't. Or it could have been the same. Who knows.. thanks for your thoughts.

this is a very brave post and a step you are taking
you will leave.....Just as I did. but only you will know what and when the time comes. Something in me snapped. I had been held in an ever decreasing in size cage for just too long. But no one could tell me to leave, to go, to run. It had to be my decision as yours must be yours. I'm here for you luv.

mneme, you have reached a stage in your life where you feel
the need to be true to yourself. what you describe sounds like mental abuse. this kind of situation has happened over and over again with just the changes in name ,ages and location. I feel for you and commend you on your honesty.
