Cringelica - ah yes, there's a Borders in Stockport - 'tis a fine shop.
I knew you'd enjoy it there in the USA. We await the Americanisms!

Sounds like you are getting acclimated to our weather and our culture.  Glad you are enjoying.

I am humintes (use the predictive text on your cell to figure that one out)
today.

WileyJohn - I'm enjoying my new life so much that I've put on 10lbs since I landed, methinks I should enjoy it a little less!  Of course, I have to thank the fancy schmancy new scales I bought in BB & B, the shock was worth maxing the credit card.

Factor - If they'd had Borders in Ireland I probably would've considered staying, most expensive country in Europe or not. Ta for the allergy advice.

Naut - I'm too humintes today to figure that one out.  I keep on thinking of 'The Portrait of Dorian Grey' but I'm quite addled.

Holy Grail - My head is swollen today for other reasons.

Azur - I think looking like I do today, there's no danger of any drooling at all, maybe some pity coffees though.

Pat B - I'm thinking of having a Borders fan night in Borders on Tuesday nights after the knitting group meet!

Holy Grail
Ooooh, I just looked and I WANT one! The closest is like 4 hours away.

Hehe

I am with you on Borders/Barnes and Noble etc. Some of the malls have nice comfy furniture in parts so you can sit down for a spell.

About your daughter's sinuses - it may be allergies here. Especially where you are, there is probably more smoggy stuff in the air than you are used to, and the plants are different. I was congested this morning, but I used the recently prescribed Nasacort, and poof I can breathe. I know my brother-in-law never knew he had allergies until he moved from Nebraska to Tennessee.

Cringe

The apartment is haunted? Did you bring a spirit over from the Emerald Isle?

And what happened to the painting and other stuff - you know what I'm talking about, don't you?

Ha ha
About the drooling. Glad you sound happy

Glad you're enjoying it. Nothing wrong with a little bit of "swollen noggin!" What's really scary is the enormous USED bookstore complete with cafe. You get all that AND great bargains. I need a Half Price Book addiction intervention!

They're opening a Borders here in Quiet Town next week.
I'm just dying for a cup of Seattle's Best coffee...  The only thing better than having the store here would be if they'd hire me to work there.  I'm glad you like it here.
