Lately I've looked at the way I look at movies. I see one in a theater and if I enjoy it, I'll buy it when it's released on DVD. I'll immediately watch it, enjoy it again, then put it on the shelf. When the movie hits cable, I'll watch it a few more times until I get tired of it. My purchased copy ends up collecting dust. As you suggest, I may just rent movies from now on. At least I'll get my money's worth.
