- Go to The Most Powerful Person In Washington?
I believe she's an ideological zombie that will do whatever is asked of her
and would even take one for the team, if asked. She's as ineffectual at her current job as she was at her former one. On top of that, Rice's appointment was no mistake. Rove and Cheney knew full well that she would be virtually worthless in any diplomatic capacity with any Muslim or Asian country, which are highly patriarchal. Bush is clueless Willie Loman, saling his wares (failed ideology)...

The Most Powerful Person In Washington?
She is a dummy and puppet
Let me play the devil's advocate for a moment. Let's agree that she is a dummy and a puppet; given all the nuances of those two words is she a willing, cognising "acting on her own " kind of dummy and puppet, or does she work from a planned script with certain built-in variables according to existing situations? Is she -- in her official capacity, at least -- little more than an automaton reacting to whatever administration-approved propaganda required to pacify the situation, whatever it might be? joab
