I see your point, Enigmatic68. Now I understand where you come from. Thank you.

I just don't think that there can always be that perfect 3rd (political) choice, in all cases - in other words, the far left. the far right, and the "ideal democracy," in the middle - sometimes the democracy in the middle, is just not strong enough to govern - in those cases, I (usually) side with the autocratic right - but not, of course, in the case of someone like Hitler...I try to be honest in my opinions/beliefs - in others words, if Hugo Chavez was a rightist, and behaving the way he is, I wouldn't be as angry as I am with him - again, you may firmly disagree with my views, but I do try to be open and honest about them.

Re: Matie

!

While I'm not an Allende supporter or the Popular Unity Government that Spain had before 1936, I don't think that the rise of leaders like Pinochet and Franco was really the best thing that could happen to those countries, specially with all the events that followed.

I kinda wish you were joking, right?

But it's okay if you think like that.

As an agnostic, I have doubts about the existence of God, but if there is one, I thank him many times over - for leaders like Augusto Pinochet and Francisco Franco!! Long live the Counterrevolution!!
