Xeno, I am a Christian, but I still face challenges and hurts just like
everyone else. The Lord's prescence in my life enables me to face those challenges with hope & peace.

Re: OMG, I’ve known so many kind, caring, and hardworking Christian people that
I've known several myself.
And yet, I've known too many as I have described.
Most of the "Love Jesus" types are that way. They have no control over their lives, so they find an "opiate", as Karl Marx once described religion.

Xeno-x,
I think you are right about a lot of what you are saying. I don't think it applies only to Christians, though. I've found that people who have to hard sell Christianity, Agnosticism, Atheism or anything else seem to feel that they have to hard sell it because they don't really believe it themselves and need to convince others which will somehow magically validate it for themselves. Does that make sense?

CHRISTIANS I HAVE KNOWN HAVE HARDLY BEEN CHRISTIAN
Several years ago, a national "taste" survey was taken by a marketing agency. The taste-testers tended to think that the artificial flavor was the real one because it "tasted" more real. The real flavor, they said, was "too bland." joab

You are an interesting personality ... I am much in agreement with your
observations. However I do believe in the person of Jesus Christ, while understanding that men and their reliogiosity destroyed within themselves the essence of what the Christ was, is and was trying to convey... Whatever Christ said, did and is still stands.
