Thanks, TAPS.
Your advice seems to be pretty much the majority opinion so far. As far as the novel writing thing goes, I have the same kind of misgivings. But I've dreamed of being a published novelist all my life. At this stage of the game I'd settle for a thou or two for a paperback original and promote the hell out of it if the publisher, or somebody, would cover my expenses. I know that is probably an even bigger pipedream.

Thanks for the good advice. If I had any sense, Id follow it to the letter in the quest for more cents. But with my tendency to run off at the mouth I'd probably start throwing out 800-2,000+ word posts again. I'm working hard at trying to keep it in check.

Re: your first section: If you don't toot your own horn, it will not be tooted.
I have often thought about writing a novel, but.....
I always back down without making the effort because I have no desire whatsoever to do the things necessary for selling it.

And now to our weatherman for tonight's forecast... LOL. Great post,
notapoet. In this clicking game, however, break this up into segments with various "catchy" (or not) titles for more traffic.

Thanks, afzal
I take that as a compliment since I still enjoy reading a good newspaper and have worked in the newspaper biz of and on since I was 16.
