When I first joined Blogit, I did put some of my longer works up but no one read them. Perhaps it is the format. Blog reading is akin to channel flipping- if you don't like what you see in the first few sentences, you move on. And people rarely stick with even a short story or (God forbid) a story that is serialialized into several Blogit entries. But.... Because you said "Pretty Please" I will post the first piece I had published. It's fairly short and it makes me laugh.

Why not actual stories?

So I read the blog entries in SF&F here and there seems to be a distinct lack of either. Your writing style is good and your entries don't seem to be littered with the spelling errors plaguing many of the other blogs I see here.

I'd love to read something by you that isn't poetry. Pretty please?

Congrats!

Congrats on the publication! I haven't gotten as far as the editorial revisions yet, but I write at novel length and the paid by the word bit, at least, wouldn't phase me. I can imagine what it must be like when you're paid by the word though.

Where can I find copies of your previously published work?

Jesus, how terrible.

Being a writer nowadays is like being a painter, it's pretty much about love and dedication for art, and living a bohemian life in exchange for it. You can decide whether it's what you really want or not. Tough dilemma if you want to be succesful and at the same time earn good money for a living.
