It really is fishy, but I loved writing it.  Thanks for commenting.

Re: Damon....an intriguing yet wonderfully thoughtful post.

Thanks Irish, Grandpa actually died before I was born.  Dad and I went fishing together a lot when I was a youngster and he had time.  He was a farmer, and loved the outdoors.

Re: .Dave.

Dave, All my life people have told me that I am different.  When I began writing, I started writing silly stories--maybe to prove them right.  I never met my grandpa.  He died about two years before I was born.

Thanks for commenting.

Damon....an intriguing yet wonderfully thoughtful post.
The love of Father and Grandfather shines through loudly, a childhood memory pressed a bit further....imagining a lovely time shared but embellished as all fish tales are lol

Surreal and delightful Damon. Instead of that final sentence, I could see this opening up into a much longer story or novel. It has metaphoric & symbolic hooks for the reader to latch onto as well (like a fish, indeed).

Nice writing. Unusual.
