You have such a lovely way of getting right into one's heart from words that spring right from the deepest core of your loving heart.

Jay thinks the flower looks like a star and I think it looks like it smells good. I am a day late answering this but I read all your comments, of course. I was waiting to show my other housemates. Still have Stephanie to go. Thank you, as always, for the lovely flower.

My wise man of reflection and gentle praise, I appreciate your comment and what you said in response to Afzal was beautiful. You do my heart such good. I have been guilty of absence, too. Any time you visit, it is a welcome one. And I am just finding out how much I've got to catch up on. Afzal, upon giving us such glowing reviews, is a healing force and a shining example to some newbies who have yet to learn their manners, eh? Troglodytes don't last long when the lights get too bright. Love still triumphs as the highest force in nature and I feel love coming from you.

Sorry, LadyCee, I felt guilty not having visited you for a long long time.
I read this with rapt attention, greatly loved it. Exquisite, and Afzal sure is doing a great service for which I keep complimenting him. So did he write one about me, validating mine, too.

No, I am almost pessimistic about the wallet. Saturday will be spent contacting MVA and credit card co.s amd banks...bother. But Jesus may turn up in the nick of time--He usually does. btw--a flower for you. Show it to Jay and Steph. Do they think it is unique?

LadyCee - That was such a lovely read! Yes, we all need our lifting up at
times and how nice this all happened! I love it that Afzal writes about a blogger every day, and it takes work to do this.

Thank you again, over and over. You've helped my esteem in the eyes of my family; that maybe I AM more than their maid and cook. You DO have a sweet heart!

Validation, particularly from our spouse, is so important. My husband and I had a "positve thought box" for a while. In there we would place affirmations about the other....
I love your smile, You're a wonderful father, You make me feel safe... those kind of things. We each used a different colour paper so we'd know which slip of paper to pick out. And each day we would select one. I regret that we haven't fed the box for a while because it was truly a wonderful thing. Often, there were surprising affirmations in there - things I didn't even realize my husband noticed about me.

Afzal is a real sweetheart, isn't he? :o)
It's good to hear that things have changed a little.
Maybe they didn't understand the concept, or that other's were "actually" reading you?
Sometimes it takes someone else to draw attention to you before those around you take notice. I'm glad things are working out better for you. I've known the feeling of being emotionally bankrupt.

Oh no, I did it again. Gender confusion....... how embarrassing. I will edit my piece!!
As to Jay - Well, it is as the night goes on and the old feeling comes back of what I call "buyer's remorse." His self-talk is so negative -- "If I'd only done this that or the other" grips him; he's overeaten, he drank too much wine, he's fat, he's in debt, everyone must think he's a loser, and the list could go on & on. If he was 100% on all the above, he'd have a litany of other incompetencies. Imagined or real, he is tortured. It's a habit or comfort zone. He has yet to love himself. How can he show his love for us until he loves himself? How can he really love another until that happens? He feels God has skipped him. Steph has a new doctor that was recommended (a shrink.) You know the old saying, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. It has to be his decision... It's his life.
Thanks for your concern!

What a wonderful post. Afzal is really good about giving bloggers validation, compliments and "feel good's". Outside of Blogit, I have one sister and my wonderful Phoenix friend "R" who just love to read anything that I write. That is very important to me so I know how you feel. I share some posts with my sons but I have the feeling they don't really read them.

Now, now Afzal u havent read this update?shhhh OK.He's reading Sunnybeach
so he does not get into trouble. Anyways, kudos to Afzal and LCM for a well-deserved blog and exposure.
I used to shwo off mypoems to my daughters...but young or old, family members come home to relax after the headache of the office, biz, school. Leave stuff on the cofgfeetable, so that when eased off, they will reach for the writings (PRODUCT PLACEMENT Carole!) I want to also ask, do you always KNOW whya Jay is feeling, or needing, when he comes home? Just a thought Dear One. shalom and God Evening, later--on the escalator......LOL
