The joys of daily life well expressed.
Ain't life a bitch.  Or it would be if we couldn't talk about it and complain about it.  Actually I don't miss the go to work every morning world that much, although I'd go back in a heartbeat if anyone would pay me a decent wage.  Money gets tight at times in the freelance world.

You should be comforted by the fact dear Antonio
that no great poet had it easy!

Become bard - excellent ending. The malaise of drudgery is something I'm out of now, but I'll never forget all those years of banging my head against a wall.

I'll have something specially for you on my main blog when you get back in from work today, Tony...

Many thanks, Spencer - it is true for millions of forgotten workers,
at least a lot of the time. But I'd like to think there is some humour in there too!

She's had a lot of apples already, by the look of her!! Thanks Durbs!

H Durbs - quiet desperation is right - it's very low-level, like the sound-
waves from the big bang. But surely it's honest to admit I'd rather be doing something else than a humdrum office job - altho it's working for the government not a private firm selling something, so it's quite interesting at times. Cheers mate! And it's up to us the public to be vigilant against nuclear power. No to short-term anti-emissions opportunism from the nuclear polluters!

I'm OK really, just trying to vary the mood a bit! Not everyone likes happy stuff - I know I don't!

quite accurate from Monday to Friday!

Anton"" all that went on inside my head after this was: "And we all fall
down, like toy soldiers; bit by bit, torn apart, we never win but the battle wages on, for toy soldiers".....Well done. This sonnet showed no Sanguine! But a truth nevertheless.

Do we live lives of quiet desperation, or desperate routine? No prob, Mate,

so long as you write anothe rhaiku about what was in your four sandwiches, OK?

Seriously, though, we humans have a love-hate relationship with routines. When we were younger we loved it; craved it, especially in grade school. Then we rebel in teen years....then fall in love with routine again. Hence, people's fears of starting a business or working on commission, in preference for a salaried position, even wage-slavery. shalom and YES, we must practice what we preach about nuclear power...our politicians are great: they tell us who in the world is a liar or then ask us to believe they tell only truths and absolute truths, LOL

Better bard than b'stard is what I say!

Tony
oh come on... there must be a little more excitement to your day.  On a day in day out basis, however, our lives can feel somewhat repetitive and lifeless at times.  Thank goodness the bard comes out to play.
