Yes Thank God, because even though I live in the south I am proud to be a part of the USA and wouldn't want to only be the CSA.  I am afraid that if we had won we might still have slaves, and I definitely wouldn't like that.  I don't think that I am prejudiced in any way.

Part of it was quoted directly from Gen. Chamberlain himself.  I found it at the site where he taught school after the war.  I don't remember the name of the school off hand.

In most of my stories I put myself in them.  It makes them easier to write, but this one was about true history.  I have another one about the Civil War that I am in.

Maybe I will post it sometime, but it is long--I would have to put it up in parts.  It is over 4000 words long.
