- Go to Back Unto Upward ~ Sages Heard
Dear RaeS...............
We used to live in IL and experienced those feelings. I always ran for my babies, ready to rescue them. Now those babies are 42 and 39 and they can rescue their babies.
Please be careful, Sweetie. May God be with you.

Thanks, OTA

Tremblors tend to make one shaky..I've experienced three strong enough to do a duck and cover dance and several small ones that just rattled a few glasses and nerves.

Hi Rae - so that's it - apart from the 1800s title, I thought it was about
the much more recent overflow. As indeed it could be. Interesting and with the usual great turns of phrase.

Crashing outta my chair again..lol..not such fun, that way..
Hope not! Thank you, Darling Ted..
...Hold me tight, I'm a scaredy kat, Gramps...:)

Not really; don't think about it much until the earth quivers a bit.
We frequently have slight tremblors; this area is atop the New Madrid crack up (lol) plus we're the lucky, local dwellers on recently discovered and much closer to home fault zones. I think there is a web site and/or phone number for reporting if a person believes they felt or heard one - I guess they measure or check something on their equipment. The last somewhat major earthquake (almost a 6, I think, 2 years ago) was centered in a lake on private property, about 10 miles away from here. That epicenter caught the experts by great surprise...Land of Shaky Grounds here.

Re: Thank You, Dearest One..
Sounds as if you may literally get knocked offline for a while...do be careful out there...will watch the news for any report of activity in your area...

Thank You, Dearest One..
Your words warm and fulfilling..I think we may have had a very slight roll of earth earlier; triggered my thoughts back to the really "Big One" that occurred on these fault lines spreading, when the Mighty Mississip changed direction for a period of days, I believe. Sometimes, I'm super sensitive to the conditions beneath my feet; have known an earthquake was beginning minutes before anyone around felt or heard it. Maybe I am part cat - meow...lol. Maybe I better huddle in a doorway or under a table - kind of spooky, those unpredictable shifts. Joking about the doorway/table, I jump pretty swift and can manage pulling kids, old people, the good china, my mirrors, etc. along with me...ROFL - Rumble..
