SuccessWarrior, I've been contemplating it.

Still doing "market research", think I found a website to do wehat I want to do, but it has very little traffic. I'll try to remember to keep you posted. (I'll certainly post about it).

As Azur advised me, the means to swelling website "attendance" is to have it become a place where people get emotional satisfaction and form relationships (of whatever type, even antagonistic ones). Civilian disaster preparedness/response is not that sort of place except for the "sparlies", groupies, and new people who still have a little  fervor left before the banality sets in.

I'm no longer working with/by/for the local sheriff's dept by the way (check my nlog back around Sept to Nov'05).

Availability will become limited for whatever reason.

Whomsoever is cut off, like a man with his windpipe closed, will flail and fight for life. This will draw in allies and they will be opposed by other alliances.

WWII was about scarcity of resources versus national ambition. WWIII is about scarficuty of energy versus population pressure.
