- Go to My Confusion on Christianity
I can relate
I am a minister's daughter and being the youngest of five there was always alot of pressure on me to be perfect, more so than my siblings. Religion was forced down my throat, I never had a choice in anything but when I left home for the military I decided to throw everything out and find out what I really believed. I figured God would want me to come to him on my own terms. If it's not from your heart, it doesn't count. I found that God really exists for me, I can't live without him as my daily guidance to deal with life and keep me from losing my mind, lol. I agree with you about the ever after questions that don't seem to add up but everyone seems to have their own interpretation of the Bible. I like Proverbs because they can be used by anyone seeking a better life.

I love your name! What an interesting post this is. My background is pretty much like yours, except that my Bible-thumping mother and father never pushed, never pressed, never cajoled. They set the example and I followed. I am very thankful for that.
