are right.  We elevate ourselves above the mere animal by engaging one another with provocative discourse.  Make no apologies for paraphrasing a great statement, because somewhere you opened a window of ignorance and let in some light (like the one in my mind, for I had never heard of the Funeral Oration).  And we all do want acceptance and affirmation.  Ask Maslow.  Good post.
