I heard about that, Sophomoric. As when most giants take on a
david, I root for the david.  Hopefully, all his ranting will drive business to the Kos and they'll prosper.  What kills me is that, without any liberals to bash, who will the conservatives go after next?  Oh, yeah, I forgot, the moderates and centrists and the apathetic would be next...

FYI, MySpace is owned by Rupert Murdoch's NewsCorp, parent company of Fox News.  Bill O'Reilly lambasts states that don't pass "Jessica's Law" yet is suspiciously silent about his boss profiting from thousands of pedophile & molestors.  I guess he's too busy trying to drive the Daily Kos out of business.

Thanks, Justi. And you're right. Everyone is suspect and should be. Your
children's welfare and future depend on it...

Saul-Relative
This is one of the saddest things after our children today. Actually everyone is a suspect for a parent until they have been proved otherwise. Good post.

Would that that were so, Glennb.

Saul Relative,
Then, we cannot have fallible people establishing "absolutes" that others must follow!

Sometimes it's better to play it safe, spanish dragon. My boys have
accounts on MySpace, but I monitor them.  (My two stepsons are also monitored by their stepmom when they're visiting Dad.)  They weren't allowed to even have accounts until this year.  They're all teenagers, but I keep a watchful eye on them...

There is no doubt that it is higher, Matie. These are just the predators
that have records and have been caught previously in some predatory action.  I would go so far as to say you may be a bit low in your estimate.  Maybe a probability statistician should be called in to do an extrapolatory analysis.  You know, like the projections that say that once a person is caught Driving While Intoxicated, they've already committed the crime at least 100 times.  Scary thought:  if we go be that number as comparison, there are 290,000 predators online.  But I wouldn't be shocked...

Tell you the truth, Glennb, I've never seen one of Dobbs' Town Hall
meetings.  And don't get me wrong.  I don't agree with everything he espouses, but I like his take on a number of topics.  Besides, no man is infallible.

Shocking it is, Dave, but one to be expected. What better forum for a
predator?

My children are not allowed
thank you for visiting. I don't let my child on anything that is not educational. Sexual predators are everywhere and they create not only victims they create new predators. Like you said protect your children.

Actually, the number must be higher than that....

...when they announce it to the media. I think it could really be around 50,000 or more.

Such is the dilemma of freedom of speech on the internet.

Saul Relative,
On Lou Dobbs: Have you ever seen him on one of his so called "Town Hall" meetings? The guy is usually lost when the participants offer a view that is different from his points of reference. These people are not above critical rebuke!

Saul Relative,
Glenn Beck? That is interesting? Cramer did do a fill-in on the Imus-in-the-Morning-looking-for-a-replacement-show (a political correct crime against a "white" man) on MSNBC and I was impressed with his take on a few issues. I personnally think he must have offended some of the "political correct police". His stay was too short!

A shocking statistic.

Cramer's got a counterpart already, Glennb. His name is Glenn Beck. Now,
there's another guy I like listening to (and watching).  But I think you do Lou Dobbs a disservice when you dismiss him as just a talking head reading a teleprompter.  Dobbs, from what I understand, is a control freak and writes most of his own material.  But I find his stance usually well-balanced and fair.  But, back to your statement on Cramer.  I think a political show with this guy at the helm would be interesting.

Saul Relative,

I question the ability of "kids" to open accounts without supervision. And how did MySpace come up with that number?

The Lou Dobbs comment from your last post. Why would you accept the view of a man who is obviously reading from a teleprompter. He does not have an original thought or idea. Try Jim Cramer and Mad Money. I would like to see him in a forum for political debate.

We all need to be more alert, RaeS. It is a matter of grave concern...
