No doubt about it, Harvardgirl. I truly believe that Jefferson and company
constructed this government in the manner that they did to truly give us a democracy.  As the people rise up and flex, we are seeing it in action.  The politicians in Washington and many state and local governments still aren't aware that there is a massive movement afoot.  It's called information access and it's progeny will be called accountability and responsibility...

I could say it, but why bother

I could say it, but why even bother.

The truth is this: Politics is a circus!  Simple, case closed.  Next puppet please!

We need to revise the system if we want something better, by bother fussing with it till we fix the actual problems- that is my opinion, and for the record we don't even need them anyway, they are just the theater show for the mass anyway.  The real work is done with policy makers, and poets, and educators, politicians are never dialed into reality- it needs to catch up with itself, and we can do that, but it will take some work to make the public begin to see that there is work to be done.
