Your thoughts are true to a certain point. All of us get writers' block in our career but it has to be overcome

Yes writing about writing helps me jump start my writing sometimes.  I run up against the block, but when I write about not being able to write sometimes I am able to write again.

I think something along that line is what this is about.

amusing musing, in any size... in my case, it's not writers' block, it's being busy. that and pondering my existence..!

Hi Mary - I've changed my order of evening activity!
ge blogging is going to come slightly later - at roughly your teatime, I do believe! It's so I can get other writing done. I can do my sonnets when i'm quite tired, and my commenting, but i can't write meaningful prose last thing at night - no way Jose - sorry, Mary. Who's Jose?

Yes, Troosha - the subject can be anything.
Surely that's better and contains more variety than declaring, without good reason, that it can only be about this or that! people appreciate it being about different and unexpected things!

Hi Bhaskar - so would I, if I didn't rely on a set format.
That makes it a lot easier. I think we all set our sights too high sometimes with poetry. It isn't rocket science - a horrendous cliche, i know, but true. As long as what we say is interesting, why worry about it? People will like it if it's interesting, whatever format it's written in. At the end of the day, it's communication, not some mystical oracular gobbledygook! Omh my God, I need to calm down!!!!

That's right Dave - there's rather a lot to write about, if truth be told..
and then you can write about it again, but ina different way.

Tony
Sometimes we dig too deep when, in fact, the topic for a poem is staring us right in the face.  And you're the king at demonstrating that!

posted by Troosha on July 16, 2007 at 9:21 AM | link to this | reply

But Tony, I have to think a lot when I attempt to write a poem.

Alright, that's what I'm talkin' about! I'm anxious to get back to my original, well let's just call it poetry, for the hell of it - but the whole stream-of-consciuosness thing, is what keeps me coming back for more - of everything!
