shelly, I think most libraries have a similar system.
The small and relatively new branch that is nearest me actually keeps some of the books donated to put into circulation. But most of them are sold or given away. People who don't frequent their library are missing out on a lot of good deals. Thanks for commenting.

I love the library...I'm there at least twice a week or more.
Ours has a "Donation" book bin...People bring in their books and the library resells them for a buck or 50 cents. I've bought many besty sellers for a dollar. It's great. Oh, and the funds go towards the library.
