Re: the arguments are an endless river of crap!

This is probably the most interesting and most intellectual response I have had since I started writing here. Your reaction makes my moments here worth every bit. I hope you visit more often.

Stay well; walk good my friend.

the arguments are an endless river of crap!

You make a great case, and I was wondering if you would like to run for the Senate we could use some fresh blood that questions what the heck is going on!  I was wondering perhaps you would like to be President?  I just fired our President and the job is open- would you like it?

What are your qualifications?

Oh I see you went to a Ivy league school, and you have a lot of friends with money...

Sorry, we are looking for someone who can not be bought-

next!

In brief, that is the way we must begin to approach our political system- it has been allowed to go from bad to worse, and it needs us to patch it up a bit.

We are not perfect, and I do wish more people would take up issue with the rhetoric that flows like a stream of crap from DC.

It is frankly, a bit of an embarrassment....©

Re: Humm

Offy:

Please advise of one war that was concluded by the men on the ground. War is not really military, it is political. Civilians make that decision, not generals. Unless, of course, the civilian and the general are the same.

I hope you are not suggesting we should never leave.

Stay well; walk good  my friend.

Humm
I dunno..it seems the Iraqi President said last weekend that they could handle things on their own if the US wants to leave. Supporting our mission over there has nothing to do with supporting a party rather it is about supporting a very young democracy. We have much invested in that democracy and quite frankly I worry about what will happen when we do leave. I worry about Iran and their ambitions and agendas. I wouldn't worry about Iraq if it wasn't for Iran...I also believe the congress and government needs to stay the heck out of the war and let the men on the ground who is fighting this nasty war decide when the job is done...They know it better then anyone else and the rest of us are just.....air....

Re: The Iraqi Status Update
That is probably the only sensible position.

The Iraqi Status Update
I believe that we should leave Iraq as soon as possible.  They have no incentive to improve if we remain.  It's up to them to turn their country around.
