I love this post! Well written and encompassing

the ever prevalent meaning of life and interconnectedness. I love that word interconnectedness. And provential "order in chaos."

Looking at life every day as a clean slate and a new adventure is 'child-like.'  We have enough responsibilities and seriousness day to day to drown a bottom-feeder. So coming out of that responsibility & seriousness every chance we can, feeds the soul. Life has circumstances, sometimes intermitent, sometimes mounting. We can't change that, that is life, but we can change our perspective.

Stepping outside of any circumstance and viewing it from atop a mountain rather than in the valley is phenomenal. I've noted n my journals, my feelings when deep in the forest of circumstance and then again my perspective after clawing my way out of the pit; totally different perspectives.

I've also written journal entries many times over the years refered to as 'the domino effect.' Your statement regarding being happy & viewing others as such, etc. There is a very woo-hoo concept of our lives being nothing more than 'our fabricated reality.'  If I choose to be the Queen tomorrow, I can dress & act the part (many do). They may lock me up, but I would be then re-creating myself as I choose.

Since I am finally empty nesting, I've often dreamnt of putting all possessions in storage & relocating to a small town, renting a boarding room and working at the local cafe but I created this business in the midst of family crisis for time-flexibility and have accumulated debt to pay.  So I'm digging my way out and will have some choices to make.  In the meanwhile I've been probed with two questions; who am I and what do I truly want? I've given myself these two years of paying off debt to answer those questions and go from there.

I truly believe knowing the answers to those two questions is the goal to strive toward ultimate purpose & happiness but healthy degrees of happiness achieved through our perspective each day along the way. ~Blessings~

When something happens to me

When something happens to me I think why.  Then, I think why not--it might as well be me as someone else.

It took me a while to learn this tactic.
I believe everything happens for a reason...sometimes I feel that I know why they happen to me personally...something good always comes from a bad....eventually.

rcky--
yes, I for one have done the "over and over" thing--heck I am probably still doing it with one thing or another. Hopefully I am "getting" some of the lessons though!

Good Morning Julia....Great post. As they say there is no bad experience if

you have grown from it. Most people are not aware that Earth is a schoolroom and we are the students. Some of us graduate faster than others and some keep repeating the same old lessons.

Julia

Embracing one’s role in each event in our life (be it significant of seemingly insignificant) allows us to see and feel the ripple effect you refer to. Simply asking why is living in a vacuum. Excellent thoughts, Julia.

superfly--
Great comment! I can't think of any situation where asking "why" would lead to greater understanding. The only answer to why has to be, because.

I think the word...
BECAUSE was invented to answer those people who are always asking why?  The WHY? doesn't ever change the reality of what has occured.  So, it really doesn't benefit to dwell on the why of something anyway.  Interesting post.
