Irish-such a completely pleasant reward.I work w/ peace groups+ Jews&Arabs
and  I am of East Indian origin, but 4 generations South African before I came to the USA many moons ago. When I look at Shalom, Salaam, Shanthi Aum (Hindi; Sanskrit) and Amen...I see that even in sounds these powerful words are close. We also joked in South Africa about the meditation with AUM or OM---AUM SWEET AUM; and Home sweet AUM ...so thanks and great that you share the jewels in our crowns given by our Abrahamic ancestor. Shalom

Irish
It's a pretty powerful word, isn't it?

It's a funny word when you look at it in blogging combination pen name terms, like "shall om". I never have liked the Irish.

Well Irish, I didn't know that Shalom meant all those things.

Well Irish, I didn't know that Shalom meant all those things.  So far as I knew it only meant peace.  Thanks for the info!
