Rumored, if my parents had named me Dweezil, the first word I would have learned would not have been 'mom' or 'dad' but 'lawyer'...

Naut, one good thing is these kids can change their names when
they're old enough, if they want to....(love Frank Zappa's kids names..I know he's passed on, but in this case I hope his kids keep their names...)

OTA
Well, it doesn't exactly say OTA on your baptismal certificate, or whatever they call these things. And even if it did - it would be worlds better than 'Diva Muffin' or 'Fifi-trixiebelle'...

Re: Kids with weird names get beat up on the playground, unless
Pat, no matter where these kids end up, they will have serious problems. As to 'Paris', well, first of all it's a male name, although at an age where gender-confusion is rampant and actually encouraged, that won't bother too many people! And as far as the 'celebrity' (?!) bearer of that name is concerned, she remains a waste of space, no matter what she would call herself...

Re: I love the post, and you are so right in posting it.
Damond, yes, now that you mention it, I seem to recall that as well. Actually, I have always had a soft spot for good old George Foreman, but he too must have a srew loose somewhere. Maybe it's inevitable when you get hit in the head a lot. But at least he can call his sons George I, George II, George III, etc...

Enigmatic
monstrous, totally, insanely centered on their feverish fantasies du jour, without a thought for their children's future and well-being...

Thanks Naut. and have a good day. It's late evening here
I'll never get used to having international friends in different time zones everywhere.

Kabu, you are absolutely correct! The word 'abuse' popped into my head as well when I read this, but I sort of banished it, although I shouldn't have. Maybe I'm getting too soft! But this is abuse! Trust you to call things by their proper name!

Kids with weird names get beat up on the playground, unless
their parents are richer than God and send the kids to a superclique school. Speaking of strange personal names, how do you like "Paris"?  Almost an invitation to infamy.

I love the post, and you are so right in posting it.

I love the post, and you are so right in posting it.  I might add and what about George Foreman, the boxer?  Talk about conceit, he named all his boys George so I am told.  That is not such a bad name, but can you imagine a house where every male in the house answers to the same name?  Stupidity as well as conceit I call it.

Naut this is actually a very important post darlin'
It is child abuse to call children such names. It's the only way to see it. Child abuse I said and child abuse I meant. good on y' mate.
