Power of gifts
The power available to true beleivers is the manifestation of spiritual gifts which have been promised by Christ.

These gift include Prophecy, Laying on of hands, Teaching about heaven and preaching in foreign languages.

If you are a genuine Christian you are seeking power for the sake of being able to genuinely
help and serve your fellow man. They are gifts designed to build up the church, not fragment it.

Are there any books on this concept of Christianity I can read? Besides the Bible. What do you mean by gaining power?

No probs
Hi & thanks for the feedback.

I don't know who GEP is but I never take any criticim or attack personally.

I do realise that what I write about is a bit up in the air for most people and so it is difficult to grasp or understand.

The main reason why I blog is to try and provide explanations for biblical concepts to show that the truth is not what it seems. I also try and explain (in my own roundabout way) that biblical truth is supposed to, or tries to point the way to how man can return to God and experience heaven while alive in the body. Unfortunately alot of the modern translations confuse the meaning of scriptural words still further.

The main problem in the church today, is that the body of believers don't really understand that their faith has a very real, tangible purpose. That purpose has been deliberately corrupted over time and obfuscated.

Most of the sincerest Christians will tell you that the reason why they are Christians is to guarantee themselves a place in heaven when they die. So that they won't go to hell.

Those people unfortunately will never accept the truth and that's ok, because they were never supposed to find it either.

The truth will be found by those whose understand their calling and the power that they will weild when their spirits emerge from darkness.

I have never heard or anything like this. Interesting.

Sorry if I put you through any distress back on GEPs blog. That comment wasn't directed towards you at all.
