Very apt descriptions, Justi
The whole system is so wrapped in money...the root..I think there is a shift occuring in party loyalties; people are being forced to see the realities of what is happening in D.C. and at state and local levels too..corruption so blatant and embedded, it is going to take massive energy and time to clean it up, but what is the alternative? The ones which we are slipping down into - no middle class, a war/slavery class and an upper sphere so wealthy and tax free they will wield power outright and mercilessly - freedoms curtailed to the point of disappearance, public services gone..it is happening before our eyes and babies are dying now as we speak.
I hope I am right about the shift and I hope it happens quickly, before we as a nation dissolve into total ruin.

That is really it. People are loyal to their parties and neither party is going for the people as a whole. We have been blinded by the hype. It is so corrupt if we stuck it with a pin it would run for years. I am for revamping totally, stop outsourcing, catering to pork barrel, throw out lobbiest from big and little business and take care of things at home before we go all over the world handing out money when we have babies here starving.

I agree, Justi..:)
I believe we have to start the process of change by removing the big money contributions from campaigns; revamping the whole system - how can the will of the people, of the masses who continue to pay taxes on dwindling incomes, we the people whom the founding fathers meant to empower have a voice when elected officials can be bought and controlled by a handful of super wealthy entities..

Thank you dear Lady, for reading and commenting.

I have lost hope in either side. They are those seeking and getting gold rewards as I see it. I am only wanting what you are asking revival of democracy or what we really had a Republic. Where our elected officials have an interest in our needs, desires and truth over and above votes. Every act is tied to a vote or the future of votes, while they line their nests with gold. I don't think any of them care what happens as long as they can keep us ignorant of their real goals.
