You paint a great picture. I would love to travel to Syria and the bordering countries. It is such an important part of the world.

It sounds positively sinful... Isnt it amazing how certain foods or treats
we grow up with have a tight grip on our hearts so that no other similar item can ever compete or compare.

Oh!
I'm coming right over.  I love ce cream.  Must say, we get pretty good ice creamin India.  The local variety - other htan what you get in packs and sticks - is called kulfi, made with milk, sugar and pistachioes. It's put in clay moulds and frozen. Yummy.

lindo - I haven't visited in awhile........
What I wonder is, if it's that hot, how do you eat the ice cream quick enough before it dribbles down your wrists?  I LOVE home made ice cream.  I've made it a lot and it's so good.  But, goes straight to my thighs!  Lovely to read you again.
