This is so wise and sweet at the same time. I remember Toni Morrison saying a statement, "So this is who you chose to be at 45."

That really made me think. Good work, Justi. God bless.

Thank you Damond I guess you are right about Mamas, I am one and I do not lavish as much praise as I mean to. But I try to be supportive and encouraging to her at all time. I will catch your poems.

Re: MAMA I AM GLAD YOU ARE NONE ONE TO SHY AWYA FROM COFFEE AT NIGHT
Justi, I love reading the things you have to say about your Mama, and think that perhaps she understood more than you gave her credit for. Perhaps she just wasn't one to tell you that you had grown up and caught her in many ways and perhaps even passed her in some ways. Writing about Mamas makes us feel good though doesn't it? I have a few poems about Mama and Mother which is what I actually called my mama.
Great write here my friend! Damon

Dear dear lady, I don't know all the answers between me and my mama but I don't know them with any one of these duos. We are different in the South I think there is so much face still to keep or let the whole ball of wax melt. I really love your understanding of me and your straight talk with me. Be blessed my dear friend. I am looking for information on the patch.

Justi, Darlin'...You remember how our mamas used to say how somebody
couldn't see something becuse she was too close to it? well. it just occured to me that
when your mama died she was very aware that you could do anything she could, and that
in fact you had surpassed her! I think she was too prideful to tell you...like many southern women, she went to her grave unable to bring herself to let you know that you had not only learned your lessons well, but you were doing things better than she ever could.
So sad for her that she missed out on so much...but I think she knew that, too...
