I reject the notion that it's the United States responsibility to promote democracy around the world. The Iraqis don't get along with each other. It isn't our fault they don't get along but it isn't our job to help them get along. I pray that we get out as soon as possible and not too many more American soldiers are killed for Bush and the neo-conservatives pipe dream of American exceptionalism. This foreign policy ideology or philosophy started with Woodrow Wilson and it has to be stopped soon or we will continually fill up more American cemeteries and military hospitals.

Dems would eat FDR for lunch..They forget the greatness of men who must make these decisions based on threat alone...Good post and although I am not a democrat I appreciate the strength of FDR...By all means I shall join you in prayer..
