Our children are like our cars the later modesl always run faster, look smoother but don't last for the long haul as well as the old modes they also cost an arm and leg to repair....But they are so cute.

Thanks for sharing this Justi. It reminds me of a story a local priest told
us. JHis sister was always controversial so the mother was hard on her. One day she came home with a horrendously large tatoo coovering her whole back,an ugly scorpion. Well, the mother was beside herself. Then the daughter told her mum, that it wasnt a permanent. The mother breathed a sigh of relief so that when the daughter showed her the permanant little butterfly on her shoulder she didnt make a fuss.

Thank the Lord. When you began I thought it was going to have a different ending. Oh they can turn your heart upside down in a minute can't they! That is a wonderful story since it turned out the way it did.

I know exactly how this Dad felt at the reading of the letter. At age 15, Son #3, was very disturbed about some grades he received, and left a letter for us saying that he had decided to give up on school and move on with his life. He told us of all the preparations he had made secretly including a pup tent and rations and was taking out hitchhiking for parts unknown and we were not to worry. He really meant it but after a few hours of solitude in the woods, he got to thinking about home and came back and went to school the next day.
