Trisha
God bless you in this trying time. You are learning lessons that many could never hope to attain. Just by reading this post, you have given me a reason to appreciate and be thankful. I admire your courage.

Trisha,

I am so glad Amaris came through the surgery unscathed.  I am also so deeply sorry for the loss of your beautiful little Sarah.  I can't imagine your sadness.

The other day, I posted about a book I read some years ago.  It's called THE POWER OF THE POWERLESS.  If you've not read it, I highly recommend it.  It was written by a man named Christopher De Vinc, and pays honour to his severely challenged brother Oliver, who passed away at the age of thirty three.

I love this book because Chris over and over again repeats his own feelings on the lessons such people have to teach the rest of us.

I'm disabled myself, and people (especially strangers, for some odd reason) constantly tell me how brave I am and what an inspiration I am to the rest of the world.

Now, this may well be true, but as far as I'm concerned...there is far greater suffering in the world than my own.  I am grateful every day of my life that things didn't turn out worse for me.

God gave your beautiful little girl a very specific, important lesson to teach the world, and I'd say thus far, she's done a fantastic job.

The world is already a better place because Amaris and others like her force us to see her light.

Blessings to both of you, Trisha.  You are loved.
