I too have learned it but it truly took a tole on me for a long time. I thought everything I did was wrong, I did things I knew were wrong and one appeared to bring as much guild at the other.

I agree with you that I believe there is a reason for everything. I believe you can't grow into your purpose without some tough walls to walk through.

I understand about parenting/choice guilt; though I am learning the wisdom of self forgiveness and acceptance of our human-ness. And I do believe everything happens for a reason, as cliche as that sounds. I can feel your dilemma and confusion - well written and meaningful, as always, dear Lady.

I know I was young but still I was the model for children and I was not doing a good job at the time. You are so kind and sweet to say that.

I dunno which is greater but it seems you mention guilt a lot in the post. I can't wait to see how the birthday dinner went even though the x-boss didn't mention b/day. Guilt is a useless emotion Justi..you were very young~
