Dudits
Yes; Dudits was the key to the story and he tied it all together.  That was not clear in the movie.  I also missed the"chase scenes" from the book, the one in the Humvees.

dudits

i didnt like the movie...cinematic expression be damned...total  hollywood pragmatism:  the only thing that will sell is the Stephen King gore...so use the damn special effects and rush the movie while the book is still fresh in the people's mind.  Small budget fast moving.  This is not some fuckin epic to invest in.

i watched it expecting much of what i saw.  i hadnt expected to like Morgan Freeman in the role of the american jingoist but he did a good job.  and i came away thinking that i actually couldnt think of anyone else who could pull it off as he did.

i was slightly pissed that they couldnt show how they all knitted to each other through dudits. they fucked the love story.

dudits is a special favourite.  when i first came out of the book i could only think - dudits he saw the line!

Duddits
Dreamcatcher was good exceppt they butchered the ending. Duddits was an alien sent from the future to save Earth. That's not how the book went at all.

I enjoyed it a lot more than Maximum Overdrive
DC was an excellent film. It was almost going in the direction of Tommyknockers, which was just horribly terrible, and wound up turning into IT, which was hella scary for its time. Three out of four skulls.
