Anniversaries like that are spectacular!  Out of my league, I'm afraid.  Ah, well.

Fifty years is such a long time, and those who help to celebrate by honoring the ones involved don't really have much of an idea what an effort, what tears, what pain has gone on in those years.  The fifty-year anniversary is called golden because it has been tried and purified by fire.  It definitely is worthy of a grand celebration.  What a joy it was take part in that of my parents.  In fact, they spent 62 years together total.

I managed to have lived with my first five Daphne for 25 years .
I am sure I would have live the rest of my life with her if I was not destined to experience a sudden second disaster in my life . God bless the couples who make their love life Golden.

Wow I can't imagine being married that long to the same person (of course I've never met anyone I would want around that long)...I think it's wonderful. My sister Maggie Mae is soon to be pushing her 50th year...And they still love each other! Gives me hope!
