Thanx FoliageG, Mandalee and all U kind readers--this pic is Gandhi's grand
--daughter who is a South African (If memory serves, Gandhi's 3 sons remained in S. Africa and only Manilal, the eldest, returned to India.) shalomfromneil

Sweet and touching post reminding of my mother who is still living like
a skeleton with hopes of my brother to return who went missing now more than ten years past.

Neil-that was really very SPECIAL! 'She' is -by the way you write -some
where in your Heart every day! It's my belief that she knows-and sees it in your writings-and 'feels' your love and admiration for Her.shalomfromchris.

It is with heavy heart I too face a motherless mother's day but she led a full life. She had me late in life so my time with her was shortened but she did not know me in the end and on the few moment of clarity when she did, it made me cry like a baby and she would hold me like she never wanted to let me go. We go to visit Jay's Mom who does know us quite well. She is 80 and single again after being widowed twice. It is harder the 2nd time she says.
Is that your lovely mother and beautiful sisters? Are you behind the camera?
I am sure you do
her honor
every mother's day, Neil. It is the kind of man you are.
In pure love,
ladyceemarie

That was very sweet and touching ...
Two things, though:
1) You have a slight typo in this line: "She thought nothing of it, being less ambitious t Than men generally ..."
2) Who are those women in that photo? Is that her in the middle?
"Happy Mother's Day (where applicable)"
