silver lining
Even in the darkest hour, there is still something holding us together, and before you know it, you leave that dark chapter behind.

It is sad, but there's a note of hope in it and that's what I really liked.

Thank you FoliageGold. I like this one, too, but now, reading it over again
makes me sad, actually...

Very captivating post .

Are you serious? Or do you just want me to say it out loud so I can, like,
slap myself in the face?

posted by bandanafish on May 6, 2007 at 10:44 PM | link to this | reply

No, actually, my heart's desire is for you to get bent.

What does that expression even mean, btw? I say it all the time, yet I haven't a clue.

posted by Mademoiselle on May 6, 2007 at 10:39 PM | link to this | reply

Funny. You are not speaking your heart's desire again.
p.s. replied.

Get bent!

You'd be so lonely if I really stopped talking.

posted by bandanafish on May 6, 2007 at 9:51 PM | link to this | reply

Oh, shut up!
I guess I better read my own comments more closely in the future.

posted by Mademoiselle on May 6, 2007 at 9:29 PM | link to this | reply

After 100 years?! Well... okay then, I guess I WILL be your
curator 100 years after your death (how I hate talking about it). A promise is a promise. The secret to longevity is simple- keep breathing.

posted by bandanafish on May 6, 2007 at 9:26 PM | link to this | reply

Oh, I figured you'd be the curator of the museum, actually.

P.S. Thank you.

P.P.S. You're not so bad, yourself.

posted by Mademoiselle on May 6, 2007 at 9:14 PM | link to this | reply

Oh... so all those mails you sent me will probably worth... how cool!
p.s. you are wonderful.

posted by bandanafish on May 6, 2007 at 9:11 PM | link to this | reply

Oh, I see what you mean.

I automatically save all my writings, actually (no matter how inconsequential) ... for "posterity" (and also so there will be stuff to put on exhibit in the museum devoted to me 100 years from now).

P.S. I really enjoyed the moral of your story.

Well, because there's always a chance that you might
accidentally closed your browser, or your computer may go crazy and closes all applications. Word has been quite good (or maybe my version) at retrieving unsaved writings.

posted by bandanafish on May 6, 2007 at 8:56 PM | link to this | reply

Why is that "dangerous"?

posted by Mademoiselle on May 6, 2007 at 8:52 PM | link to this | reply

Yeah. You don't?! That's so dangerous.

posted by bandanafish on May 6, 2007 at 8:49 PM | link to this | reply

You write in "Microsoft Word"?

posted by Mademoiselle on May 6, 2007 at 8:47 PM | link to this | reply

That was actually what I wrote down at first, until a red line came
underneath it.

p.s. replied.

posted by bandanafish on May 6, 2007 at 8:45 PM | link to this | reply

I'm pretty sure that's the word.
I actually thought of "perpetuality" at first ... but that, apparently, isn't even a word at all.

posted by Mademoiselle on May 6, 2007 at 8:40 PM | link to this | reply

Are you serious. That's the word? Okay, then. Let me go change it.
At any rate, isn't it so romantic? I really enjoyed writing it; she was in my mind all the while.

posted by bandanafish on May 6, 2007 at 8:32 PM | link to this | reply

This is so romantic ... sort of.

I don't know what to say, actually.

Except that I think the word is "perpetuity", actually.
