Re: "Illegal immigrants" is a complex issue that seems to be propping its head
It's a tragedy that the governments of Mexico as well as Central and Latin America don't want a middle class. I realize that these poor and desperate people will do
anything to escape from that life. However, the United States can't take all of these people into
our country. American employers have to be severely punished for hiring these illegal aliens. Our first responsibility should be to the native-born American citizens.

"Illegal immigrants" is a complex issue that seems to be propping its head
all over the world. And the issue is not about illegal immigrants v/s local workers, though that is how these politicians would like it to be so they can divide and rule. It's really about ensuring workers's rights and systems towards this in every employment. The issue in that situation will automatically resolve itself. May sound simplistic, but I believe that illegal immigration may happen to some extent because there are people in the place of origin countries who have no opportunities back home but to a larger extent because there are employers who want to get away with minimum obligations towards workers, which they can manage to do by keeping the immigrants illegal and getting low cost production.

As a Canadian, I don't comment too much on US politics, except when it affects us, and what I call the Mexican invasion, which I have posted on extensively, affects us a great deal. Here is an example of what I have said:http://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/Nautikos/370401
I'm happy to see someone else on Blogit who understands the situation...

I read all three of these. I am still a little more conservative and I am Christian. I see things a little differently. They are good posts and good concerns.
