Soda pack and press to draw out the sting of unwelcomed visitors...

Yes, the usual spring thaw, Mary...:)
..except no honey bees spotted yet, which is spooky. Thank you for visiting.

RaeS
Oh my, you are inundated with critters, aren't you?  Ours haven't woken up just yet.  Tulips will bloom in the next few days.  I think we're behind you by a couple of weeks.

You're leaving, Linter? Hope I have time to finish reading your story.
Yes, wasp stings are very painful. Will be heading your way soon.

Lol, Offy..never been stung by a bee? Wow!...:)

As a child, I was fascinated by them, well, small honeybees. Would try to catch them in jars..quite a few stings for my efforts, needles to say. Wasps I do fear greatly and went for years out of my way to avoid them; have only been stung twice in my whole life. I wonder if they smell fear as they seem to be drawn to my presence, lol...for real, at outside gatherings, ball games, etc., more than once, I've been the only person harassed by them and usually in my hair. I don't use hairspray; maybe it's my shampoo or a nest thing...and when they get inside, almost always a room/area that I'm in. I get teased mercilessly about this, haha.. Fears and bugs are one of life's mysteries, eh?

Thanks for visiting.

I was stung by a wasp when I was a child and am afraid of them ever since. Good-bye RaeS.

Raes
That's the way do it...and since we had rain last night you can bet we have bugs today.I have never been stung by a bee and have had some interesting encounters with them. My sister MaggieMae is scared to death of them. Everytime we are on the porch and they come around her she makes me shoo them away. Wasps and ants give me no grief, but put a millipede in front of me and I run for my life! May you have a bug free day!!!<<eat bugs..

Poor bugs.

What I will usually try to do is carefully trap them and take them outside unharmed. Either that, or just feed them to my "children".

What am I afraid of?
I'll tell you: a feather.
That's right, a feather.
How could anyone be afraid of a feather, you ask.
First of all, did I mention it was a poison feather?
