I am not a professional physicist, but I understand quantum mechanics quite well. If the statement that "anything is possible. That's the beauty of quantum physics. You can prove anything" is a direct quote, I don't need to read his book to know that it's a crock. And yes, it has been proved that "black holes" exist, but "wormholes" remain a theoretical proposition. And all that requires Einsteinian, i.e. 'classical' physics as well...

Let me take it one step further: a 'theory' that proves 'anything' really proves nothing...

That's the problem with faith, Offy. You can't quantify it. It is an

unmeasurable chemical reaction to unreliable, nonspecific, anomalous, and ambiguous ideas and (sometimes) tangible objects and symbols. As sure as Tipler proved god's existence, he can disprove his existence as well. How do I know this? I have faith in science...

Why would someone want to put a mathematical equation on faith? What would be the value of it? Faith does not have a number or a face...it just is...methinks..
