Welcome to my world.
I am jammed most of the time because I run across someone I should know from childhood, high school, or something else like that, or they know me by either my newspaper column or my band.
I've just gotten used to my never ending litanies of ,"Dude, what's up," or "Hey! Good to see ya!"

I sometimes can't remember what I had for lunch the day before!
And I have another problem: when I meet someone for the first time, I always have to hear the name twice! Because I seem to pay attention to the face (and with ladies to a few other things, lol), the name zips right by me! Always! So, in thend, I ask them to repeat their name...
