Very well taken point...
No matter where the school is, parental involvement is critical. My youngest didn't care much for school, he thought it was pointless and particularly didn't like the high school clique games. He became adept at being able to pass the tests and we kept pressing him to do well. A few teachers helped him see some of the real world benefit of his education (oddly enough, mostly in wood shop class) and he made it through high school. But along the way, we saw the kids who's parents didn't care, it was sad. All parents everywhere need to live up to their responsibility and raise the best kids they can. You are fortunate to have guidance and wise to listen.
